We are almost half way there! yesterday was carb day, and man, did I enjoy my yoghurt with banana, an orange, some mashed potatoes! Did not go hog wild at all, just a small serving of each, but still it felt so good.
I think the ED is really a great diet, even though I do miss some cheese and the occassional cup of joe, but especially when I am on the wave I feel that the ED has everything to offer I want and need!
Did my first workout today before 6am, ICP, improved my time again by 1 second. Yes, only 1 second, but I take it! Will do a bike HIIT now (an hour has passed) and then shower and run to work.
DB over lunch in the gym and the PC before bed, that should work out just fine! Eating some ommelette with veggies right now, so I am ready to go!

Day 12 - I want carbs!!!
Third day on our second wave - 3 days low carb, 1 day with carb. I am hating it!!! The mornings are worst, I feel weak, nauseated, exhausted. Then I get my energy back during the day, don't feel hungry, but just yearning for a piece of fruit and yoghurt.... tomorrow will be heaven!!
Meltdown this morning was done by pure will power, I hated every second of it but pushed through. Took a nice 20 minute power walk during lunch, its still freezing here, so my hands and face was cold, but my body was sweating. ICP up arrival at the house and putting a chicken in the oven. No good time... :-( DB Matrix just right now, 3 times through, which was fine (I have plenty chicken and greens in my belly right now).
I am so excited about carbs tomorrow!! That even makes the meltdown and pyramid in one day more bearable!
Time for bed now, need to have my rest....

Day 11
It is amazing how our bodies work, I am in such awe... Never thought I could do the amount of workouts I am doing right now (4 a day), with no break! Trust me, it is not easy! But the pains and aches and sorenes go away, and when I feel like I really can not do the workout, I push through and feel so much better afterwords.
Here is a summary of my workouts, the improvements are amazing!
Meltdown, day 1 and day 11 in comparison
PU 50 - 54 (regular style)
squat 54 - 76
SP 33 - 85 (what happened there????)
SB lunge 57 - 71
spidey 54 - 66
ST lune 28 - 35
c and p: 54 - 66
squat 55 - 77
ICP:
PU: 12
Squat 17
Spidey 15
RT 12
SP 10
Times: 1:53 minutes - 1:21 minutes
Pyramid: all through, twice level 5, and back: 19:44 minutes - 16:20 minutes!
PC: started with 40 reps, now at 56 reps (26 for the last one)
Stats: beginning - day 11
weight: -3 lbs
chest: - 1 cm
waist: - 3 cm
hip: same
thigh -1 cm
calve: -0.5 cm
arm: -0.5 cm
And I am bloated right now due to my period - in a couple days that should shift quite a bit!
On the other hand I am really craving some real food, the low carb is just not my thing. I think the ED would be fine with me for a long time, but the low carb takes away everything I love. Yes, I love veggies and nuts, but after a day or so it really gets old. This afternoon I really had to fight hard, and finally gave in a chewed a piece of sugar free gum. Not ED, but it was the best cheating I could think of.
I also had to cheat with my workouts today - that 4th cardio workout is really hard for me to fit into my day. 3 workouts I can manage: get up early, gym over lunch, night time. But the 4th.... Today I went to the gym for my power circuit, then stretched for 20 minutes, and then did 15 minutes vigorous bike riding before taking a quick rinse and going back to work. Sorry Dax.... I know, but it was the best I could do!

Just did my pyramid, last workout for today, packed my sons birthday presents, blogged, and now it is high time for bed!! Good night...

I am so pround of myself!!!! Days 5-9
Yes, I am very proud of myself for surviving this challenging week just fine. Yes, something had to give, and it was my blogging - no internet for a few days, and then all day meetings.
I am going strong on Dax Moy's 30 day challenge - check out htttp://www.mylondonpersonaltrainer.com for more info.
Did all 4 workouts on Tuesday, food was ED.
Wednesday, my first day of meetings. Got up at 5 am for the first workout, got everything ready, got my 6-year old ready, left the house at 7am. 45 minute commute to work, meetings until 6:40 pm followed by dinner outside. Managed to take a 15 minute cardio power walk over lunch, and came late to dinner because I stopped at the gym for my 3rd workout. Came home at 10 and did the last one before collapsing. Food was low carb... :-(
Pretty much the same goes for Thursday and Friday, but I had to skip one workout each day. Otherwise I would have had to skip even more sleep, and that felt more important!
But why am I proud? Not just because I got at least 3 workouts in on really full days, but also because I did not cheat on the diet despite eating out all the time. And also because I work in corporate sales for a gourmet food company, and we were being trained on all our new sweet products. Meaning I was constantly fed the most beautiful desserts created by our top notch chefs! And we had baking workshops, where we prepared the most delicious cookies, cakes, mousses, cremes you can imagine. And that all without even licking my finger once....
I must be crazy, right? Everybody else thought so, but so what, I know I am doing the right thing.
Today is Saturday, I have the laptop back up and running, and am back posting, enjoying my carb day (yoghurt and fruits is heaven today!), and a normal workout schedule. Cardio was sledding down the hill behind the house today, at least until I hit the bird feeder and my back started hurting. Still good fun running up the hill!
Off now for my last workout today, the power circuit, then a nice dinner, and early to bed today!
Will post new measurements tomorrow....

Day 4 of the challenge
It is amazing how quickly my body adjusted to the 4 workouts a day. I was not super sore, but definitly tired and worn out the first couple days. Now it is much better, I can still feel parts of my body, but in a good way! My numbers are going up (workoutwise, not pound wise :-)) and I have energy and feel good.
Still have no internet at home, so I am posting this from work without going too much into detail. Of course that means, I am back at work! Did the meltdown this morning, and will head to the gym for lunch for the individual circuit today. Hopefully I can fit in a quick walk/jog later in the after noon as cardio, of course it is freezing outside right now!
I also have a 3 day meeting come up Wednesday through Friday, with dinners out every day, tons of food, and lots of sitting. I work for a gourmet food company and we will be trained in new products etc, so that means I will need to sample quite a bit of stuff. Will try to keep it to an absolute minimum and am decided to eat well when we go out as well. I feel like somethings gotta give though during those 3 days and might have to cut back to 2 or 3 workouts for those days, I will see. I know I can fit in a morning and evening workout (hello 5am!!), but not sure if I can get out at all during the day. But that's life and I will do the best I can!
Back to work - and hopefully our new router will be delivered today to finally get internet back at home! Thanks Verizon....!

Stats and pictures
I took my pictures, but left the camera at home. So I have to add them later when we have internet again.
But my stats per 12/31/09 are:
chest 89 cm
waist 79 cm
hip 97 cm
thigh 57 high and 47 low
calve 35 cm
arm 30.5 cm
weight: 143 lbs
Looking back it is almost the same as when I started the LGN last summer, and it proves again that bodies are made in the kitchen! I workout regularly, but my diet has just gone back to very crappy and way too many sweets. So now it is healthy eating again with even more workouts!

Meltdown challenge day 1 and 2
Since I don't have internet right now until the new router comes, I am posting for day 1 and 2 from a friends house.
Day 1 went well in terms of food (lots of joghurt, nuts, eggs, veggies) and workouts:
Meltdowns densities day 1 (and 2 in parenthesis)
push up 50 (54)
squat: 54 (58)
press 42 (46)
sb lunge 51 (53)
spidey 54 (55)
step thru lunge 28 (30)
curl/press 24 (26)
squat 55 (59)
Cardio was 10 minutes hard on the nordic track yesterday, and 15 minutes hard on the bike today.
Felt a little sore this morning from yesterdays workouts, which were surprisingly hard, but after the meltdown and a hot bath I am much better again and looking forward to my individual circuit in a few minutes.
This time around I have no headache, since I never really but coffee back in my diet after the LGN challenge. Glad I didn't! But I am peeing constantly with all the water and herbal teas, despite the salt. So be it... We'll have roasted chicken and veggies this evening, looking forward to it!
